It is hard to believe that the first quarter of the school year is nearly over. We have been so busy, but I have been trying really hard to update the class website. I recently posted pictures from our field trips and updated the calendars for the month of October. Here are a couple of neat sites I have found that go along with what fourth grade is learning right now.

So Far, So Good

The second day of the school year can down in the books as a success. I am very excited about my class this year. I think we are going to have a great time. Since we set up our class blogs on Monday I decided I better get the kids on the site before I forgot what to do. It took us a while to get everyone logged in, but most of the class was able to complete their first blog. Now I need to find out if there is a way that parents and relatives can access the blogs to read and leave comments. The rest of the week were are going to work on our class constitution and the importance of education. I am hoping to instill a sense of ownership in their education. I spent some time updating my website tonight with pictures from today. Check it out and let me know what you think. I would love to here any suggestions.

Just spent the last hour fixing the mess I made with my Google accounts. Now that I have everything where it should be I should be ready to blog more frequently this year. Next step is to figure out how to post pictures and videos. Even as an adult there is always a learning process! Enjoy the rest of your summers.

I spent some time tonight trying to get my webpage completed and decided I should also post on here. Hopefully both sites will be complete by the end of the weekend. I was thinking about how to manage both of my sites easier and am thinking about adding "blogger" to my student duties. I would have the student update the blog two or three times a week under my supervision of course. Any thoughts on this? I can always get on here and add as I see necessary. I think that updating my webpage once a month should be sufficient. We will see how it goes.

The beginning of the year has started with lots of learning at the elementary. Hopefully if I learned how to do this correctly, my blog and webpage should be up and running. Keep in mind that it is still under construction
